Unbelievably great experience. I had made a mistake with the order I placed and the team flagged this for me and sorted everything out with no fuss, they went above and beyond and we are so delighted with the outcome of our pictures. Great team, great comms, great service, great price.

Resolution and Dynamic Range

What You Receive as Standard

Every order includes our highest scanning standard, with true 16-bit TIFF files for archiving, grading, printing, and publication, alongside full-resolution JPEGs for immediate use.

For 35mm film, scans are delivered at approximately 9500 × 6300 pixels, with around 13–15 stops of usable dynamic range for smoother density transitions, stronger highlight structure, and cleaner shadow separation.

There are no scan tiers, no reduced-quality options, and no upgrade traps.

How This Differs from Typical Minilab Scanning

Typical Noritsu and Fuji Frontier minilab workflows are built around retail throughput and batch consistency, often delivering lower resolution, lower bit depth, and less usable dynamic range.

Liquid Light Lab uses a dedicated high-resolution capture workflow for individual still negatives, producing higher delivered resolution, greater tonal latitude, and more complete extraction of fine detail.

I received my scans and loved them instantly!!! It has really made me realise how much scans can play a part in the quality of your photos - I will be coming again for sure :) thank you so much!
