Event Photographer in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire & the West Midlands

UK wide professional event coverage — from small gatherings to national stages.

From film, music, and cultural events to private receptions — photographed with discretion and craft across the UK.

Cinematic event photography on real film — crafted for press, performance, PR, brand storytelling, and high-profile appearances.

Professional event photography demands accuracy, timing, discretion and control. Whether you’re hosting a film premiere, a live performance, a corporate summit, a cultural festival or a private reception, your event deserves to be documented with clarity, purpose, and a sense of atmosphere that feels true to the moment.

I photograph events on real photographic film — developed and scanned by hand in my Leamington Spa studio — to create images that hold mood, expression, and scale with permanence. Every event carries its own rhythm. My role is to capture that rhythm exactly as it unfolds.

Your Event, Captured with Cinematic Precision

Events exist in motion — anticipation before the doors open, the energy of the crowd, the quiet of backstage, the intensity of performance, the significance of a launch or announcement. Your photographs must do more than record who attended. They must retain the emotion and purpose behind the event. Whether you are a PR team needing press-ready assets, a venue looking to document a headline show, a corporate client hosting a conference, or a creative organisation marking a premiere, the outcome is the same: images that feel alive, articulate and meaningful.

What an event requires

Events demand more than good timing — they require trust, awareness, and control. I bring the same level of craft to every scale of work, whether it’s a local awards evening or a full touring production.

  • Professional access management — familiar with backstage and press protocols, NDAs, embargoes and restricted zones.

  • Backstage, Green room and VIP experience — discreet, respectful, and efficient with limited time windows.

  • Restricted zones and controlled movement - maintaining all boundaries.

  • Stage and concert coverage — from small venues to arena lighting, experienced with low-light capture and complex movement.

  • Corporate, literary, and cultural events — adaptable coverage with strong editorial delivery.

  • Private receptions and brand launches — quiet presence, fast turnaround, polished presentation.

Clear communication with PR teams, venue managers and production staff is maintained at all times, even when there are tight time windows with talent to fulfil.

How I work

Each event is planned with clear communication before the day. I coordinate directly with PR teams, venue staff, or personal assistants when needed, ensuring you can focus on the event itself.

On the day, I move with purpose but minimal footprint — blending in where discretion is key, leading when guidance is needed. Delivery is efficient, structured, and secure, with gallery access and usage rights defined in advance.

Deliverables

After the event, you’ll receive:

  • A curated gallery of high-resolution, fully edited images.

  • Same-day or next-day highlight selections available on request.

  • Options for private client galleries, press-ready JPEGs, or TIFFs.

  • Consistent file naming and metadata for publication and distribution.

  • Licensing terms agreed in advance.

  • This ensures your team never waits for the assets they need.

The photos Martin takes for conventions are the best I’ve seen in all the years we’ve been doing them. He has a unique skill in capturing moments full of life and humanity.
— Simon Bamford, Actor (Hellraiser, Hellbound, Night Breed)
I first came across Martin’s photography when he covered HorrorCon in 2022. I was struck by how artful his photographs were, candid or posed. He not only captures an image, but also the emotions and the warmth of the moment. I’ve since followed his Liquid Light Whisperer Instagram account with enthralled interest and I’ve never ceased to be impress by the stunning quality of his work. It’s not just photography, or reportage; it’s art and that’s a very precious thing in these difficult times.
