Event Photography

Professional event coverage — from small gatherings to national stages.

What an event requires

Events demand more than good timing — they require trust, awareness, and control. I bring the same level of craft to every scale of work, whether it’s a local awards evening or a full touring production.

  • Professional access management — familiar with backstage and press protocols, NDAs, and restricted zones.

  • Green room and VIP experience — discreet, respectful, and efficient with limited time windows.

  • Stage and concert coverage — from small venues to arena lighting, experienced with low-light capture and complex movement.

  • Corporate, literary, and cultural events — adaptable coverage with strong editorial delivery.

  • Private receptions and brand launches — quiet presence, fast turnaround, polished presentation.

Every event has its own rhythm — anticipation, movement, stillness. Whether it’s a live performance, a film premiere, a private reception, or an industry summit, I work with quiet precision to capture it as it unfolds.

My approach is rooted in experience. Over the years I’ve photographed actors, authors, musicians, and creative teams from some of the UK’s most recognised productions and live events. From backstage preparations to main-stage moments, the goal is the same: deliver images that hold atmosphere, emotion, and purpose.

How I work

Each event is planned with clear communication before the day. I coordinate directly with PR teams, venue staff, or personal assistants when needed, ensuring you can focus on the event itself.

On the day, I move with purpose but minimal footprint — blending in where discretion is key, leading when guidance is needed. Delivery is efficient, structured, and secure, with gallery access and usage rights defined in advance.

Deliverables

After the event, you’ll receive:

  • A curated gallery of high-resolution, fully edited images.

  • Same-day or next-day highlight selections available on request.

  • Options for private client galleries, press-ready JPEGs, or archival TIFFs.

  • Consistent file naming and metadata for publication and distribution.

There isn’t anyone better. Martin will always be involved in any movie I make.
— Craig Sheffer, Actor, Director, Producer (One Tree Hill, A River Runs Through It, Fire In the Sky, Some Kind of Wonderful, Night Breed)
Martin can make the craziest concept come to life in just minutes. He’s phenomenal.
— Mounia Moula, Actress (Wonder Woman, Inception, No Time to Die, Ghost in the Shell)
I love Martin’s work. He makes visual dreams look effortless.
— Bridgett Riley, Women’s World Boxing Champion and Actress (Watchmen, Transformers, Star Trek: Beyond, Million Dollar Baby)
The photos Martin takes for conventions are the best I’ve seen in all the years we’ve been doing them. He has a unique skill in capturing moments full of life and humanity.
— Simon Bamford, Actor (Hellraiser, Hellbound, Night Breed)
I first came across Martin’s photography when he covered HorrorCon in 2022. I was struck by how artful his photographs were, candid or posed. He not only captures an image, but also the emotions and the warmth of the moment. I’ve since followed his Liquid Light Whisperer Instagram account with enthralled interest and I’ve never ceased to be impress by the stunning quality of his work. It’s not just photography, or reportage; it’s art and that’s a very precious thing in these difficult times.
